С»ÆѼµ¼º½, TX—Although Benjamin Henderson will earn his diploma from Crockett High С»ÆѼµ¼º½ next week, he will continue to represent the school and С»ÆѼµ¼º½ Independent С»ÆѼµ¼º½ District. The American Society for Mathematics has invited him to compete in the U.S. National High С»ÆѼµ¼º½ Mathematics Championship in Oklahoma City.
Henderson earned a top score on the Problem Solving Challenge Examination, which qualified him for the national competition. During high school, Henderson was actively involved in the University Interscholastic League Academics program, orchestra and tennis.
"We are thrilled Benjamin has a wonderful opportunity to compete on a national level," said principal Craig Shapiro, Crockett High С»ÆѼµ¼º½, recently named National outstanding high school and Texas Urban High С»ÆѼµ¼º½ of the Year. The U.S. National High С»ÆѼµ¼º½ Mathematics Championship is June 30 to July 1.
